Red Cole Slaw

Mayonnaise can make cole slaw heavy. Try this slaw recipe using a simple vinaigrette in place of the traditional mayonnaise.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • ¼ tsp. celery salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. celery seeds
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and shredded
  • 3 cups shredded red cabbage
  • ½ cup shredded red onion

Directions

  • Mix the vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, pepper, and celery seeds in a large bowl. Add the carrots, cabbage and onions. Chill for 1 hour and serve.
