Red Hot Barbecue Sauce
Use this homemade sauce to crank up the spiciness level at your next barbecue.

Ingredients
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup dark corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. liquid smoke
- 1⁄2 tsp. salt
- 1⁄2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1⁄2 tsp. Tabasco
- 1⁄4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1⁄4 tsp. black pepper
- 1⁄4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1⁄4 tsp. onion powder
Directions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan over high heat. Use a whisk to blend the ingredients until smooth. When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
- Remove it from the heat and cool before using.
