Use thicker asparagus to withstand the heat of the grill. Be sure to remove the woody ends of the stalks first.

- 2 bunches asparagus
- 1 Tbsp. walnut oil
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- ⅛ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- Preheat grill to medium. Toss the asparagus in the oil, then drain on a rack and season with lemon juice and pepper. Grill the asparagus for 1–2 minutes on each side (cook to desired doneness). Serve immediately.
