Roasted Corned Beef Brisket

This delicious cut was served at President Lincoln's inauguration! Use the leftovers for Reuben sandwiches tomorrow.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef brisket

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 300° F. Remove brisket from package. Sprinkle contents of spice packet on top of brisket and wrap in foil. Place on rack in shallow pan fat side up. Roast 1 hour per lb. or until fork tender. Let stand 15 minutes before slicing. Oven temperatures may vary. Heating times may need adjustments. Be sure to cook thoroughly. Slice across the grain. Refrigerate any leftovers.
