Roasting Hatch Green Chiles

Once roasted, these chiles can be frozen for later use in soups, salads and salsas!

Ingredients

  • aluminum foil
  • hatch green chiles

Directions

  • Move oven rack to highest setting. Preheat oven to broil. Cover a baking sheet pan with aluminum foil.
  • Place chiles on sheet pan. Place in oven and broil until skin is black, about 10-12 minutes.
  • Immediately place hot chiles into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit for 20 minutes.
  • One by one, remove chiles from bag and gently peel away black charred skin.
  • Slice chiles open and gently remove seeds.
  • Add to your favorite recipe!
