Serves: 4Hands-on: 20 minutesTotal: 2 hours 20 minutesDifficulty: Medium
- 3 cups plain yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1⁄2 Tbsp. rose water
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 6 ice cubes
- 2 drops red food coloring
- Line a sieve with several layers of cheesecloth. Place the yogurt in the sieve and suspend over a bowl.
- Let any liquid drain into the bowl, then discard the liquid. Tie the ends of the cheesecloth to form a pouch. Weigh it down using a few cans in a plastic bag as a weight. Let it sit for about 2 hours to allow any remaining liquid to drain out.
- Remove the cheesecloth. Transfer the yogurt to a blender. Add the sugar, rose water, water, ice cubes, and food coloring; blend well. Add more water if you like a thinner consistency.
