Rum Raisin Ice Cream

Sweet and plump raisins are soaked in tummy-warming rum in this decadent adult treat.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup raisins, chopped
  • ¼ cup dark rum
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups half and half
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp. fresh-grated nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  • Soak raisins in dark rum overnight.
  • Stir everything together. Refrigerate 2 hours. Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
