Sautéed Apple Pancake Topping
In addition to a delicious pancake topping, this is also a great ice cream topping!

- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 cups chopped apple
- 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup water
- In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat (do not allow to brown) and sauté the apples 2 to 3 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and water. Add to the apples, reduce heat to low, and continue cooking an additional 2 or 3 minutes. Apples should be tender but remain firm.
