Sauteed Asparagus with Shallots and Lime

Shallots and lime are the perfect complement to fresh spring asparagus.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 bunch asparagus, fresh, trimmed
  • sea salt and freshly cracked pepper
  • 1⁄2 lime, juiced

Directions

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add asparagus spears. Cover and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Just before serving, squeeze lime over the top.
