Sautéed Swiss Chard

Both stalks and leaves are edible parts of the chard plant, and the stems can be separated and cooked separately for a different dish. Chard adds a bit of spice to any dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 lb. Swiss chard, rinsed and trimmed
  • 6 cloves garlic, sliced
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • 3 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ⅛ tsp. pepper

Directions

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the swiss chard, garlic, and oregano. Sauté for a few minutes and then remove from heat.
  • Stir in the vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
