Shrimp Butter for Hors d’Oeuvres

This is a very simple spread for crackers. You can also use it for elegant tea sandwiches. Just make sure that the bread or crackers are sugar-free!

  • 4 oz. cooked shrimp
  • 2 oz. unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp. low-fat sugar-free mayonnaise
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • ½ tsp. Splenda
  • ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp. dill weed


  • Purée all ingredients in a food processor, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides. When smooth, transfer to a bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
