Ingredients

  • 1 lb. rigatoni
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. mascarpone cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ⅛ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil

Directions

  • Heat the oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté. Add the tomato sauce and cook 10 minutes, until reduced slightly. Stir in the mascarpone cheese and butter.
  • Place pasta in a warm serving bowl. Add the sauce, salt, pepper, cheese, and basil. Toss well.
