Simple Brown Syrup

You can experiment with the thickness and flavor of this sweet liquid beverage base by varying the sugar-to-water ratio. Using demerara or muscovado sugar will intensify the flavor.

  • 1 cup turbinado sugar
  • 1 cup filtered water
