Simple Chocolate Ice Cream
Lots of heavy cream makes this recipe smooth and luxurious. For extra decadence, toss in a half cup of dark-chocolate chips to the final few spins of the ice cream machine.

- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup sweetened cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients except vanilla until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir to combine.
- Allow to chill in refrigerator for 3–4 hours, or overnight.
- Once chilled, add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
