Simple Fruit Compote
Featuring various summer fruits, this simple light dessert makes the perfect finale to a rich evening meal.

- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- 2 Tbsp. Ruby port or Madeira
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- Wash and hull the strawberries. Rinse the blueberries and raspberries and dry on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine the port, sugar, and lemon juice. Toss the fruit with the mixture. Chill, covered, in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Spoon the fruit into individual dessert bowls.
