Simple Grilled Flank Steak
A delicious flank steak needs nothing more than salt and pepper. The secret to tender meat is cutting it on the diagonal.

- 1 1⁄2 lbs. flank steak
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- Prepare grill. Rub the meat all over with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
- Place on the grill for 5 to 6 minutes, each side. Remove from the grill, cover, and let the meat rest for 5 minutes.
- After the meat has rested, slice it into thin slices on the diagonal. Serve immediately.
