Simply Better Yellow Cake

  • 1 box (18.25 oz.) yellow cake mix plus ingredients called for on box (except water)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg

Directions

  • Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions. Grease and flour 2 round cake pans (8"). Set aside.
  • Mix batter according to package instructions, substituting whole milk for water and adding the extra egg with the other eggs.
  • Using an electric mixer set to medium speed, beat batter until it is smooth and entirely lump-free. Pour batter into cake pan. Bake according to instructions.
