Slow Cooker Bok Choy with Sesame and Garlic Sauce
Bok Choy should not be washed until just before you cook with it. Wash it, trim about an inch off the stalk and add the leaves to a slow cooker with a sesame and garlic sauce. Cook and serve with white rice. Mirin, also called rice wine, can be found in the Asian food section of most grocery stores and in most Asian markets.

- 3 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. mirin
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. lime juice
- 1 medium head (1½ lbs.) bok choy, bottom 1" of stalk trimmed
- In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, mirin, garlic, and lime juice.
- Place the bok choy in a 4-quart slow cooker and cover with the soy sauce mixture. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 hours.
