Slow Cooker Ginger Tea
Ginger is said to be very good for throat infections and even nausea or digestion problems. Often, in India, the tea served at home and at tea stalls is cooked with gingerroot, or cardamom, or sometimes both.

- 6 cups water
- ¼ cup sliced fresh ginger
- ¼ cup sugar, more if desired
- Add the water to the slow cooker and turn the heat on high. Once the water is hot, add gingerroot and sugar. Cover the lid and cook for 2 hours.
- Strain and serve.
