Slow-Cooker Nonalcoholic Wassail

This version of the traditional holiday beverage is nonalcoholic so the kids can enjoy it too.

  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. whole allspice
  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1 large can unsweetened pineapple juice
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 cup brewed herbal tea


  • Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice in a cheesecloth, tie it off with kitchen string, and place it in a slow cooker.
  • Pour the cider, juices, and tea into a 4- or 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and simmer on low for 5 hours.
  • Remove the spice sack and serve warm.
