Slow Cooker Pear Sauce

Cook chunks of pears with water, lemon juice, sugar, and a touch of cinnamon in a slow cooker for this simple fruit dessert.

  • 10 medium Bartlett pears, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup sugar


  • Add all ingredients to a 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat for 6 hours.
  • Lightly mash the pears with a potato masher and cool slightly. Transfer to covered container and refrigerate. Serve chilled.
