Slow Cooker Poached Figs with Ice Cream
Poach figs with port wine, sugar, and warm spices in a slow cooker. Serve the figs and their sauce with vanilla ice cream.

- 15 black mission figs
- 2 cups port wine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 strip orange zest
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 quarts vanilla ice cream
- Add all of the ingredients, except for the ice cream, to a 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on high heat for 3–4 hours.
- Cool slightly. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle the cooking liquid over the ice cream and figs.
