Slow Cooker Saffron Rice

Saffron threads give the rice a golden glow and a delicate sweet flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups long-grain white rice, uncooked
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • ¾ tsp. saffron threads
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat for 4–5 hours.
  • Check the rice to see if it is tender. If not, cook for another 30–45 minutes.
