Slow Cooker Steamed Spaghetti Squash
People are often intimidated by cooking spaghetti squash, but by using your slow cooker it’s an incredibly easy process. Serve this freshly cooked squash instead of pasta for a healthy gluten-free main dish, or serve as a side dish topped with butter, salt, and pepper.

- 1 large spaghetti squash
- ¾ cup water
- Place whole spaghetti squash and water in a 4-quart or larger greased slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 8 hours until squash is fork tender or a knife can be inserted in the center easily.
- Remove the squash carefully from the slow cooker. Allow to cool for several minutes. With a sharp knife cut top and bottom off of squash, then cut in half. Scoop seeds out of the center of the squash and use a fork to remove the noodle-like threads of the spaghetti squash.
