Serves: 6

  • 1 bag (16 oz.) dried white beans, soaked overnight
  • Water, as needed
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 bay leaves

  • Drain and rinse the beans, discarding the water. Place beans in a large sauce pan and cover with fresh water. Boil on high heat for 10 minutes, then drain and discard water.
  • To a 4-quart slow cooker, add white beans, salt, bay leaves, and enough fresh water to cover beans by 2 inches. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 to 6 hours, or until tender.
  • Once the beans are fully cooked, drain in a colander and remove the bay leaves.
