- 7⁄8 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar, divided
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. water
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 1⁄2 cup confectioners’ sugar. Stir in the flour, walnuts, vanilla, and water. Mix well. Cover and chill until firm enough to shape with your fingers.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Form the dough into small balls and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and immediately roll in remaining confectioners’ sugar to coat evenly. Let cool completely on a rack.
