Southern Pecan Pie
No gathering in the South is complete without a fresh pecan pie.

- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1⁄4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pie shell (9 inches), unbaked
- 1 1⁄2 cups pecan halves
- Heat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and sugar. Add the eggs, corn syrup, salt, butter, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth. Pour into pie shell. Arrange pecan halves in an even layer over the filling. Tap the pie gently on the counter to release air bubbles.
- Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the filling is set. Cool to room temperature before serving.
