Spicy Cajun Rub
This is delicious— a dry mixture of spices to rub on poultry, fish, or meat to add flavor and heat! After rubbing in, let stand 1 hour before grilling.

- 1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1 tsp. hot paprika
- 2 Tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. onion powder
- ¼ tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. dry English mustard
- 1 tsp. anise seeds, bruised in a mortar and pestle
- 1 tsp. salt
- In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together. Use immediately or store in a cool dry place.
