Spicy Kokum Drink (Sol Kadhi)

- 8 pieces kokum
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 1⁄2 cans (14 oz.) light coconut milk
- Pinch of table salt
- Pinch of sugar
- Soak the kokum in the hot water for about 1 hour. Strain and reserve the pink liquid. Discard the kokum.
- In a deep stockpot, combine the pink liquid with all the remaining ingredients; mix well. Serve chilled.
