Spicy Olive and Walnut Tapenade

This tapenade works well as a garnish on grilled fish. Or you can add a small amount of cream to thin it and use the tapenade as a dip for vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups large black pitted kalamata olives, drained
  • 1¾ cups chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup large capers
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ⅛ tsp. dried tarragon
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper

Directions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend to a paste.
