Steel Cut Oatmeal with Blueberries, Walnuts, and Chia Seeds

Make a batch of steel cut oats with maple syrup and top with fresh blueberries, toasted walnut pieces, and chia seeds for a hearty breakfast.

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. chia seeds


  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to a boil. Stir in oats and syrup and reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes.
  • Divide oatmeal evenly into four bowls. Top with blueberries, walnuts, and chia seeds.
