Stewed Cinnamon Apples

The longer these luscious apples are cooked, the softer they become.

  • 1 tsp. maple syrup
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp. vanilla bean paste
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and cut into wedges


  • Place maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, lemon juice, and water in a 4-quart slow cooker. Stir until maple syrup dissolves. Add apples.
  • Cook on low for up to 8 hours. Stir before serving.
