Stewed Tomatoes

For an Italian variation on these tomatoes, add basil and Italian parsley.

  • 1 can (28 oz.) whole tomatoes in purée, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • ½ medium green bell pepper, seeded and chopped


  • Place all the ingredients into a 2-quart slow cooker. Stir. Cook on low for up to 8 hours.
