Strawberry sauce is perfect over vanilla ice cream, made into a banana split, or used to top a lemony sorbet. It is equally good added into your morning oatmeal.

- 1½ lbs. fresh strawberries, hulled
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1½ tsp. lemon juice
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and purée until smooth. Press through a mesh strainer to remove seeds, if desired.
- Refrigerate, covered, until needed, up to 3 days.
