Sugar and Spice Roasted Nuts
Roast almonds in butter, honey, brown sugar, warm and hot spices and salt for a special treat. This recipe can be made with pecans, walnuts, cashews, or a mix of nuts.

- 4 cups almonds
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1⁄4 cup honey
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1⁄2 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1⁄8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1⁄2 tsp. salt
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread almonds on large cookie sheet and toast for 10 minutes or until the nuts are fragrant, stirring once during cooking time.
- Meanwhile, in small saucepan, combine butter, honey, and remaining ingredients over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, just until mixture comes to a boil, 5 minutes.
- Remove nuts from oven, drizzle with butter mixture, toss to coat, and return to the oven. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F, bake nuts for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until glazed.
- Cool completely, then break apart and store in airtight container.
