Sweet Brazil Nut Milk

This is a good recipe to serve with a bowl of breakfast cereal or oatmeal. The milk makes a good liquid base for smoothies and sauces. The leftover pulp can be used to make cookies, crackers, and breads.

  • 1 cup Brazil nuts
  • 3 cups water
  • ¼ cup dates, pitted
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice


  • Blend the Brazil nuts with 3 cups water until smooth.
  • Pour the blended Brazil nuts through a nut milk bag and into a bowl. Squeeze the nut milk bag to get all the milk out.
  • Pour the milk back into the blender. Add the dates, salt, and pumpkin pie spice to the blender and blend until smooth.
