Sweet-and-Sour Sauce with Ketchup
For extra flavor, add red and green bell pepper and pineapple chunks to the sauce after stirring in the cornstarch.

- ⅓ cup rice vinegar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 4 tsp. cornstarch
- In a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and ¼ cup water and bring to a boil over high heat.
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch with 4 teaspoons water. Stir into the sauce, stirring vigorously to thicken. Remove from the heat and let cool. Serve immediately or refrigerate up to 5 days.
