Sweet and Spicy Chili-Lime Chicken Legs

These chicken legs are wonderfully simple to prepare and they make a wonderful appetizer or game night meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. chicken legs
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos
  • 3 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 medium red jalapeño, seeded and finely diced
  • 2 tsp. lime zest

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Place chicken on a large, rimmed sheet pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until a meat thermometer registers at least 165°F. Reserve.
  • Combine the honey, aminos, lime juice, water, jalapeño, and lime zest in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Place chicken in a large bowl, and drizzle sauce over the legs. Toss with tongs to coat.
