Sweet and Spicy Walnuts

A perfect sweet and savory snack, guaranteed to please just about any palate.

  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • ½ tsp. cayenne
  • ¼ tsp. onion powder
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 cups walnut halves


  • Pour coconut oil into a 4-quart slow cooker, turn on high and allow to melt. While oil is melting, in a separate bowl, mix honey and seasonings together.
  • Once oil as melted, add walnuts to slow cooker and stir. Add honey and seasoning blend to slow cooker, and stir until evenly coated. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Stir the nuts, recover, and cook for another hour.
  • Remove cover and cook an additional 30 minutes, until the nuts are dry. Cool and store in airtight containers.
