- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 2 cups sweet tea
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup wing sauce
- Place wings and sweet tea in a large resealable food bag; refrigerate at least 2 hours.
- Heat gas grill to medium until coals are ash white. Remove wings from marinade; season with salt and pepper. Discard marinade.
- Grill 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Brush with sauce and allow to grill a few more minutes on each side.
- Tip: Wings can also be prepared in the oven. Heat oven to 400°F. Generously coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Place wings in a single layer; bake 30-35 minutes, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 165°F and skin is beginning to brown. Transfer wings to sauce bowl; toss to coat. Return to the baking sheet and cook an additional 10-12 minutes until sauce is bubbly and sticky.
