Sweet Tea Sauce

This sweet and sour sauce works well on pork, chicken, or sorbet. The tea must be very strong for it to work.

  • 2 sachets Sunshine Lemon Rooibos tea
  • 2 tsp. Splenda
  • 2 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 6 oz. boiling water


  • Place all of the ingredients in a one-cup measuring cup. Steep for 15 minutes. Straub and serve hot or at room temperature.
