Though typically purchased premade, tahini can be whipped up quickly and easily right at home with a few simple ingredients from your grocery store.

- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1⁄8 tsp. salt
- 1⁄8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- Grind the seeds to a powder in a coffee grinder or spice mill. Continue grinding until the seeds stick together and adhere to the walls of the grinder.
- Remove from the grinder, add a small amount of oil (just enough to become smooth and creamy), stir with a fork, and salt and cayenne.
