Tandoori-Style Chicken Breasts

Garam masala is a combination of spices used in most Indian cooking. A basic recipe contains coriander, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and cumin. Try 1⁄2 teaspoon of each as a base, and then make changes to suit your taste.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (6 oz. each)
  • 1 Tbsp. garam masala
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed
  • 1 cup low-fat yogurt


  • In a large glass pan, marinate the chicken breasts overnight in a mixture of garam masala, garlic, and yogurt.
  • Preheat broiler. Remove chicken from marinade and place on a baking sheet.
  • Broil the chicken for 6 minutes per side. Serve hot.
