Tangerine Sorbet

Try to juice your own tangerines to add fresh citrus flavor to this frozen treat.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 cups tangerine juice
  • ¼ cup lemon juice

Directions

  • Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and heat, stirring, just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; chill.
  • Combine chilled sugar syrup, tangerine juice, and lemon juice.
  • Freeze in an ice-cream freezer according to manufacturer’s instructions. If you don’t own an ice-cream freezer, you can freeze the mixture, break it up into chunks, and blend it in a food processor or a blender. Refreeze and serve!
