Teriyaki Marinade

Use anytime you want to add the distinct sweet-and-sour teriyaki flavor to grilled meat.

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1⁄2 cup soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. mirin (Japanese rice wine)
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. ginger, chopped


  • Smash and peel the garlic clove. Combine all the ingredients. For best results, make ahead of time to give the flavors a chance to blend.
