Thai Basil Hummus

This is a twist on hummus, the classic garbanzo bean dip. Serve it with fresh vegetables, crackers, or bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz.) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp. smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tsp. lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 1 tsp. Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

  • Blend all ingredients in food processor or blender. Add hot water, a tablespoon at a time, if the mixture becomes too thick to blend.
