Turkey Bacon–Wrapped Asparagus

When choosing asparagus, look for bright green spears that have firm stems. Stems shouldn’t be limp. If you buy asparagus in advance, cut off the bottoms and wrap the ends in a damp paper towel and store in the refrigerator in a plastic bag for up to 3 days.

  • 6 slices nitrate-free turkey bacon (no sugar added), halved lengthwise
  • 12 asparagus spears, ends trimmed


  • Wrap each bacon piece around each asparagus spear and secure in place with a toothpick.
  • Grill over medium heat 10 minutes or until bacon is crisp, turning each spear over halfway through cooking time.
