Turnip Chili Fries
Look for small- to medium-sized turnips. Larger turnips tend to have a coarse texture with a bitter, woody taste, while smaller turnips are sweeter and more tender.

- 4 small turnips, peeled and cut into 2-inch sticks
- 1⁄4 tsp. salt
- 1⁄4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1⁄4 tsp. chili powder
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Place turnip sticks on a foil-lined baking pan. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and chili powder over turnips and toss.
- Spread out in a single layer. Bake in the oven 15 minutes, flip fries over, and then bake another 15 minutes. Serve warm.
