Vanilla Poached Pears

Slow poaching makes these pears meltingly tender and infuses them with a rich vanilla flavor.

  • 4 Bosc pears, peeled
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • 2 Tbsp. gluten-free vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apple juice

Directions

  • Stand the pears up in a 4–6-quart slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients.
  • Cook on low for 2 hours or until the pears are tender. Discard all cooking liquid prior to serving.
