Vanilla Poached Pears

Slow poaching makes these pears meltingly tender and infuses them with a rich vanilla flavor.
Hands-on: 10 minutesTotal: 2 hours 10 minutes
- 4 Bosc pears, peeled
- 1 vanilla bean, split
- 2 Tbsp. gluten-free vanilla extract
- 2 cups apple juice
- Stand the pears up in a 4–6-quart slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients.
- Cook on low for 2 hours or until the pears are tender. Discard all cooking liquid prior to serving.
