Makes: 3 pints
- 1 quart sour cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 package (3 oz.) powdered pectin
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- ¼ cup cherry liqueur
- 4½ cups sugar
- Put all ingredients except sugar in a large pan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring regularly. Add sugar; continue stirring until completely dissolved.
- Continue boiling 2 minutes after sugar dissolves; ladle into hot jars, leaving ¼" headspace. Cap and process 10 minutes in hot-water bath.
